Listening, playing, and recording
Music has always been the hobby I am most passionate about. I enjoy listening to it, studying it, playing it, and learning how to record it well.
The Beatles sit at the center of that interest, but music also gives me a reason to keep collecting instruments, experimenting with sounds, and playing with other musicians.
Listening to Music
My favorite music comes from the rock and pop of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, although I also enjoy classical music, big band, blues, and soundtracks—especially Disney soundtracks.
I am an avid fan of The Beatles, including all of their solo work, and enjoy studying, analyzing, and playing their music. Other favorites include Elton John, Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, the Bee Gees, the Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nobuo Uematsu, Barenaked Ladies, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Here Come the Mummies.
Playing Music
I have been a musician since I was a kid. My main instruments are piano and guitar, but I enjoy experimenting with many others and collecting interesting instruments as I encounter them. I am particularly drawn to instruments with a vintage sound, especially the Hammond B3 organ.
Beyond the instruments shown here, my collection includes a violin, banjo, dulcimer, ocarina, mandolin, trombone, several harmonicas, and even a set of bagpipes I brought back from Scotland.

Recording Music
More recently, I have been learning the art of recording, mixing, and mastering music. I have a small home studio and use Apple’s Logic Pro as my digital audio workstation.
