A few things I enjoy beyond computer science and music.

On the screen

I have a soft spot for imaginative worlds, offbeat comedy, and games that reward exploration.

Movies
James Bond, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Titanic, Jim Carrey comedies, and Disney’s Robin Hood.

Television
The Office, Lost, The IT Crowd, Keeping Up Appearances, Star Trek, Seinfeld, Futurama, and Frasier.

Games
The Legend of Zelda, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy VII (and the remakes!), The Sims, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft. The Nintendo 64 remains my favorite console.

Learning languages

I enjoy learning how other languages organize ideas and express culture. Most of my daily practice happens through Duolingo, supplemented by books and other resources.

Away from the screen

I try to make room for activities that help me slow down and reset. Meditation, yoga, massage, sauna, cold plunging, and the occasional acupressure mat all have a place in the rotation.
